Job Summary
The job of “Educational Social Worker” is done for the purpose/s of providing district-wide support for family support services; assistance to schools for students who are identified to be “at-risk” for school failure without additional intervention; and providing services including home visits, conferencing, classroom demonstrations, referral to outside agencies, individual group and family counseling, parent education, and staff inservice. An Educational Social Worker works under the direct supervision of the Director, Pupil Personnel Services.
