This job is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: The Bus Driver is a position where incumbents must complete the training and attain licensure required by the State. Advancement opportunities exist beyond Driver, as incumbents can take additional training, develop special competencies, and become authorized/certified in instructing. This job reports to Director of Transportation
Requirements / Qualifications
Education & Experience: A high School diploma or the equivalent (GED). We offer 20 hours of classroom instruction related to skills and safety requirements for driving a school bus. Plus an additional 20 hours of instruction behind the wheel of a school bus. After successful completion of 40 hours of training you will be able to get a Certificate to take to DMV to Obtain the Class B license. Must be over the age of 21 years to apply. Must be able to pass mandatory drug tests and background check
