The County School Nurse position is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys collaborating with others to support the health and academic success of students across the county. As part of a dedicated team of school health professionals, you will partner with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care, provide consultation and training, and offer nursing support within schools. The role offers a dynamic and rewarding variety of responsibilities, including conducting health screenings, participating in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, developing individualized health plans, and connecting families with valuable community resources. Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: ~ A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college ~ Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation and have knowledge and experience in advanced first aid principles. ~ Classroom experience instructing children and adults. ~ One year experience in school or community health. Certificates & Licenses: ~ Must possess a valid California driver’s license ~ Current California Registered Nurse license ~ Possession of or eligible for a California credential with an authorization as school nurse ~ Must possess a valid Public Health Nurse certificate. ~ Must possess a valid Audiometric certificate. ~ Must possess a valid CPR adult and child certificate. Instructor certificate desired.
