Sonder Creek Academy – Walnut Creek, CA Sonder Creek Academy (SCA) is hiring a warm, enthusiastic Kindergarten and First Grade Assistant (two positions) to join our growing school for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond. Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday (on school days) Position Overview: Our Assistants are more than just support—they are instructional partners. In this role, you will assist with classroom management and preparation, while also playing a key part in differentiated instruction. You’ll work closely with our lead teachers to guide students, especially in reading, writing, and math—working one-on-one and in small groups to help every child thrive. In addition, you’ll help with classroom routines, transitions, and student engagement, ensuring that our learning environment is structured, supportive, and joyful. Our Kindergarten Assistant will spend the entire day on our Kindergarten campus. Our First Grade Assistant will work most closely with our first graders, and will also have the opportunity to support reading and math groups with our 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders.
