Requirements / Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: * High School Diploma or the equivalent; and * 2 years of college (48 units + ), or Associate's degree (A. A.) or higher; or 2-3 years experience in a school setting working with children. * Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills. Tutoring experience a plus, and knowledge of SPED policies and processes and experience with special needs students in preferred.

Upload all required documents exactly as stated (e.g., Letter of Recommendation) to be considered for this position. * Applicants should upload transcripts with their application if education is required by the position or claimed on the application. The Instructional Aide - Special Education assists a special education teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or other learning environment; assist teachers with the preparation of instructional materials; tutor students in assigned subject areas. If you have experience working with small groups of students either assisting a teacher or as a tutor and have an understanding of students with special needs this position is for you.
