The Instructional Coach serves as an instructional leader who partners with teachers, administrators, and school teams to strengthen teaching practices and improve student achievement. Working collaboratively with the Site Administrative Team, the Instructional Coach provides ongoing coaching, observation, feedback, and professional learning to support high-quality, standards-aligned instruction. Through the analysis of student achievement data, classroom observations, and collaboration with educators, the Instructional Coach helps ensure that instructional decisions are data-driven, equitable, and responsive to the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of all students. The Instructional Coach champions a culture of continuous improvement by leading professional development, facilitating collaborative team meetings, supporting curriculum planning, and promoting effective instructional strategies for English Learners, students with disabilities, and all learners. This role works closely with school leadership to advance Vaughn Next Century Learning Center's mission by fostering instructional excellence, building teacher capacity, supporting intervention efforts, and cultivating a college-going culture that prepares every student for success in college, career, and life.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must have a valid California Single Subject teaching credential in English and/or Social Science required Have BCLAD, CLAD, or EL Authorization required At least 5-years of classroom teaching experience required Master’s Degree in Education or Curriculum and Instructions preferred Experience with Project Based Learning preferred Strong preference for candidates with experience teaching in secondary grades
