Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent, it is the responsibility of the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services, to lead, plan, organize, direct, and manage the instructional programs Preschool - 8th Grade of the District including, but not limited to developing and implementing system-wide improvement strategies; ensuring implementation of inclusive and culturally-responsive curriculum and instructional programs; ensuring effective learning opportunities and growth experiences for all students; overseeing research, assessment, and program evaluation strategies; and instructional programs; ensuring effective learning opportunities and growth experiences for all students; overseeing research, assessment and program evaluation strategies; and providing professional development programs that are consistent with District goals, objectives and improvement strategies. The Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services leads, plans, organizes, and manages the development and implementation of the District's Local Control Accountability Plan ("LCAP"), and provides direct input to the District' Local Control Formula ("LCFF") budget plan, including the supplemental grant. The Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services supports the recruitment, selection and evaluation of principals, Educational Services department certificated and classified staff members and other leadership staff members. The Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services prepares and assists in the preparation and implementation of Board policies, administrative regulations and strategies for achieving the District's goals and objectives. The Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services serves on the Superintendent's Executive Cabinet.

The Eastside Union School District contributes $16,000 annually towards medical benefits.
The Eastside Union School District will compensate Administrators the sum of $5,000 annually for an earned doctorate in Education from an acceptable accredited institution as approved by the Superintendent.
