Job Summary

Position Summary The Culture & Climate Officer will actively promote and maintain a positive school culture and climate at WISH Academy. This includes hands-on supervision, proactive behavior coaching, policy enforcement, and the development and oversight of school-wide initiatives to support students' social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs. Key Responsibilities Lunch Supervision & Hallway Management Oversee student safety and foster positive interactions during lunch periods and transitions between classes. Student Coaching & Behavioral Support Provide one-on-one and group coaching to guide students in developing social-emotional skills, conflict resolution, and responsible decision-making. Policy Awareness & Enforcement Consistently uphold school policies with fairness and a restorative approach—balancing accountability with empathy. Collaborative Behavioral Planning Report directly to the Dean of Climate and Culture and collaborate with leadership teams, Student Support Teams, or peer mediation groups to design and implement interventions. Recognition & Incentive Programs Manage school-wide behavior recognition systems—assemblies, raffles, special privileges, and incentive programs that celebrate positive conduct. Zen Room Coordination Supervise or collaborate on the management of a safe space where students can calm down, reflect, and restore before rejoining class. Anti-Bullying & Harassment Response Respond to reports of bullying or discrimination; follow district reporting procedures and ensure interventions are correctly implemented. Data Monitoring & Trend Analysis Track data on behavioral incidents, referrals, and climate indicators. Use this information to identify areas for improvement and to guide programming. Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred).Experience in educational settings, particularly with behavior management and school culture Demonstrated experience in student supervision, behavior management, restorative practices, and culture-building initiatives Proven ability to lead staff training and collaborate across teams to support student well-being. Knowledge of MTSS, PBIS frameworks, and trauma-informed approaches. Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to equitable, inclusive practices, restorative practices, and student-centered decision-making.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations Experience with data collection and analysis Medication administration certification or willingness to obtain TB Test - Required Live scan - Required Experience in charter school or similar educational environment Background in special education or behavioral support Training in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
