Job Summary
Under the direction of the Principal or designee, provides athletic training services to student-athletes participating in district athletic programs. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency response, and health education for student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer collaborates with coaches, parents, school personnel, healthcare providers, and community agencies to promote student safety and compliance with CIF regulations and District policies. 2 positions available - 1 at each high school, Burroughs or Burbank High School. Salary Range: 60 Work Year: 11 Months Work Day: 8 Hours Work hours: Varied based on the needs of the sport season
Requirements / Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, or a closely related field. 2. Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification as an Athletic Trainer. 3. Current Athletic Trainer Licensure issued by the State of California, if required by law. 4. National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) certification required. 5. Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. 6. Valid California Driver’s License.
