Assistant Director - Career, Technical and Adult Education at Poway Unified School District
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS: Must hold either a valid California Administrative Credential (preferred) or a valid California Designated Subjects Supervision and Coordination Credential. A Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and/or Curriculum or a related field is preferred or in progress with completion within two years. At least three years successful teaching, counseling, and/or administrative experience and demonstrated instructional leadership. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have knowledge of sound instructional practice; ability to effectively supervise, formally observe, and evaluate teachers; ability to successfully plan, organize, and direct adult community education programs; evaluate and prepare recommendations for curricular changes within the context of national, state and local educational and industry standards; ability to use technology tools to support maximized student learning and efficient completion of administrative duties; ability to supervise and evaluate classified support personnel; ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and the community in order to create a responsive and productive educational environment. EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of experience in instructional leadership. Preferred experience in developing and managing adult lifelong learning courses to support the diverse community education interests. EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: A master's degree and a California administrative credential.
