ABOUT iQ ACADEMY, LOS ANGELES AND THE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER POSITIONS: iQ Academy, Los Angeles delivers online/virtual home based instruction to K-12 students in California. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to complete approximately 4-6 hours of coursework daily and log attendance. We use the K-12, inc. curriculum as the basis for instruction and you will teach via the Engageli platform. Teachers instruct students online daily both synchronously and asynchronously. iQ Academy, Los Angeles High School Teachers meet with content students throughout the week in their virtual classrooms to provide direct and targeted instruction that meets the needs of the students and support their homeroom students as needed. Each homeroom has about 30 students. We do our best to assign homeroom students locally, as teachers will be required to plan and attend at least one ‘outing’ per semester, in addition to special events such as graduation. They also provide students additional help, individualized instruction, grade work, have daily communication and conferences with students, families, and learning coaches via telephone and email, attend virtual all-staff and department meetings, in-person professional development, and monitor attendance. High School teachers may meet with their students face to face for tutoring and/or testing. All teachers are required to proctor state testing.

As iQ Academy, Los Angeles is a public school and this is a public school teacher position, these are set contracted hours and you must be available/working during these hours while under contract with iQ Academy, Los Angeles. You are not allowed to have another job during these contracted hours.

August 2026- Immediate hires as needed throughout the 2026-2027 school year. We are an enrollment based school, we may need to hire teachers at any time throughout the year as our enrollment continues to grow.
Location
Our Administrative Office is located in Simi Valley, CA, but most of our teachers work from home.
