Job Summary

Current Vacancy: 1 - position for 8 hours per day, 203 work days per year. This eligibility list will be valid for one year and will be used to fill any future vacancies during the time this list is active. Purpose of Position Conducts assessments, develops goals, and provides physical therapy services to improve student mobility and functional independence to support access to educational programs. Collaborates with families, staff, and health care providers to ensure services are aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and applicable state and federal requirements. Supervision • Receives supervision from the Director of Special Education or designee. • This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements / Qualifications

For applicants licensed on or after January 1, 2015, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited college or university is required. Applicants licensed prior to this date may qualify with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. One (1) year of experience providing physical therapy services; experience with children and youth with disabilities is desirable. Licenses and Other Requirements A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California and a valid California driver’s license. Valid First Aid and CPR certifications. All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of employment and maintained throughout employment.
