Head Start - Preschool Teacher Description of Position Provides instruction and supervision for 3 and 4 year olds. Acts as a liaison between parents and school. Duties and Responsibilities Prepares instruction to suit the needs of 3 and 4 year olds from low-income homes. Orders supplies and equipment. Maintains records. Visits the home of each pupil at least three times during the school year. Supervises and coordinates work schedules for teacher assistants and aides. Serves food, encourages acceptance of new and different food and builds desirable eating habits and manners. Other Duties Participates in in-service education. Organizes parent meetings once per month.
