WUSD offers a childcare assistance program to support employees in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, providing access to district-operated preschool (ages 3–5) and after-school programs (TK–6th grade) for eligible staff working at least 0.8 FTE or 6.5 hours per day. Childcare is available during employees’ regular work hours, with an additional 30 minutes before and after for commuting and is intended strictly for work-related needs. Enrollment is managed through the WELL program, with priority given to district staff when space is limited.
