Current DMV printout: Drivers Record Request- can be obtained on DMV website (MUST be no greater than 30 days old) - please see link under "Links Related to This Job" for CA DMV Printout website 4. Graduation from a California P.O.S.T. Basic Police Academy (Level I) within the last three (3) years OR if longer than three (3) years from graduating, must have been continuously employed by a California Police Agency OR possess a current requalification certificate issued by a California P.O.S.T. Academy. Current P.O.S.T. certification is required at the time of application. 5. Valid ADULT/PEDIATRIC First Aid and CPR Certification required: NO online courses; NO BLS (basic life support) cards, MUST include Pediatric (Child) training* *can upload proof of registration in an upcoming, in-person CPR/First Aid class in lieu of card Preferred Qualifications: 1. Associates Degree or higher 2. Prior experience working with juveniles REQUIRED UPON HIRE - PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD WITH APPLICATION 1. Valid California Drivers License 2. Certificate stating freedom from tuberculosis 3. Candidates selected for appointment are required to be fingerprinted in our office at the employee's expense and must receive DOJ, FBI, & DMV clearance before beginning work
