Job Summary

The High School Math Coach provides expertise and instructional leadership to improve mathematics teaching and student achievement through evidence-based instructional practices aligned with the California Mathematics Framework, California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CA CCSSM), and district priorities. This role collaborates with teachers, administrators, and instructional teams to strengthen high-quality mathematics instruction through data-informed practices that promote conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and college and career readiness. The Coach provides job-embedded coaching and professional learning to enhance Tier I instruction, support Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) implementation, ensure alignment with state standards and district mathematics goals, and assist in identifying students who require Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. The Coach also supports teachers in implementing rigorous, standards-aligned coursework, including Integrated Mathematics pathways and advanced mathematics opportunities, while promoting equitable access and positive student outcomes. This position serves multiple high school sites throughout the district.

Requirements / Qualifications

Cover Letter Resume Valid Clear Single Subject Math Credential Minimum of 5 years of Teaching Experience (preferably in Math) 2-5 years of instructional coaching geared towards classroom instruction 3 letters of recommendation- one from current supervisor CLAD or BCLAD certification

Requires a California Clear Single Subject Math credential. Strong content knowledge of Math Skills and the ability to apply it to teaching and learning. Requires experience coaching or mentoring teachers, facilitating groups, collaborative planning, and conducting professional development. 2-5 years of Coaching Experience geared towards classroom instruction
