Job Summary

Under the direction of the School Site Principal or Designee, the Intervention Specialist Teacher serves as a site-wide resource providing targeted Tier 2 academic remediation and behavioral interventions. Operating without a permanent or static classroom roster, this position manages a designated campus intervention space to support students experiencing immediate academic gaps or classroom behavioral challenges. Within the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework, the teacher delivers short-term, datadriven Tier 2 strategies to help students stabilize, reset, and successfully reintegrate into their primary classrooms. This position also serves as a site resource for classroom teachers seeking guidance on proactive classroom management techniques.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience -Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. - Required: Minimum of three (3) years of highly successful classroom teaching experience preferred, showcasing a proven track record of accelerating learning and managing behaviors for atrisk or struggling student populations. - Required: Demonstrated training or specialized experience in implementing MTSS frameworks, Tier 2 behavioral interventions, or structured remedial reading/math programs. Licenses - Required: Valid California Teaching Credential. - Preferred: Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. - Required: Valid California driver’s license.
