Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent and 48 units of college level coursework or associate’s degree or verification of meeting NCLB requirements. • Ability to read, write and speak at a level sufficient to fulfill the assigned duties. • Ability to communicate with and effectively supervise students. • Ability to accept directions and carry out oral and written instructions. • Ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship with others. Brief Description of Position: • Responsible for assisting in preparing and supervising pupil work areas. • Responsible for assisting individual or small groups with assigned activities. • Responsible for assisting in checking papers and preparing instructional materials. • Responsible for performing such other related duties and clerical work as may be assigned by the principal. • Enforces the school rules concerning proper behavior of students. • Maintains a firm but respectful and courteous attitude toward students. • Perform other related duties as assigned.
