Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Science and English teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a comprehensive high school. The teacher will deliver a comprehensive curriculum, provide individualized instruction, and foster a positive learning environment. Duties and Responsibilities: •Curriculum Delivery: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners. •Individualized Instruction: Provide differentiated instruction and support to address each student's unique academic, social, and emotional needs. •Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and student engagement. •Assessment and Evaluation: Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and provide feedback. •Parent and Community Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to discuss student progress, challenges, and successes. Engage with community resources to support student learning and well-being. Minimum Qualifications: • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required. • Certification: A valid teaching credential or license in California is required. Skills: • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills • Ability to create and deliver engaging instruction • Effective communication and interpersonal skills • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for instruction and assessment
