Job Summary

Golden Feather Union Elementary School District is seeking a certificated Multiple Subject teacher, intern-eligible or fully credentialed, to serve as a 5th/6th grade teacher at Spring Valley School in rural Butte County. Spring Valley School is a small TK–8 school with close student relationships, supportive staff, and a strong focus on consistency, intervention, and student growth. This position would serve a combined 5th/6th grade classroom, providing instruction across core subject areas including English Language Arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging standards-based instruction, maintaining a positive and organized classroom environment, monitoring student progress, using assessment data to guide instruction, and supporting students academically, behaviorally, and socially. The teacher will work collaboratively with other staff, intervention personnel, special education staff, and administration to meet the needs of all learners. This is an excellent opportunity for an intern, early-career teacher, or experienced teacher who enjoys upper elementary and middle grades, values strong relationships with students, and is interested in working in a small rural school setting where each student is known well. The district has established systems for gradebook practices, assignments, classroom routines, student supports, and communication. The selected candidate will be expected to learn and continue these systems while bringing strong instruction, flexibility, organization, and a student-centered approach to the classroom. Golden Feather Union Elementary School District welcomes applicants who are fully credentialed, intern-eligible, or interested in serving in a rural school environment with strong administrative support and a clear instructional structure already in place.
