Requirements / Qualifications
General Qualifications for All Positions in this Range: Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: One year of paid or volunteer experience working with elementary age children. Licensure/Certifications: Some positions will require employees to obtain within six (6) months of employment and maintain a first aid & CPR certificate. Additional State/Federal ESSA Requirements: IA employees must: -Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction, or -Pass the CBEST, or -Have completed two years of college (48 units), or -Possess an A. A. degree (or higher). . Unique, desirable qualifications for these positions includes: IA-I: Training or course work in child growth and development, instructional technology, or a closely related field.
General Hours & Work Schedules: IA-I: Monday-Friday, 17.5-28.5 hours per week, with morning and full school day shifts Existing Vacancies: 1 IA-TK: 1 vacancy at Pendleton Recruitment Process Expectations and Timelines: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in testing, and those that pass testing or provide proof of equivalency will be invited to the video interview process, which will include a qualifying assessment by an independent panel of experts who will refer qualified candidates forward for hiring considerations to the hiring managers. Candidates who are scored qualified by the independent panel, will be eligible for final hiring consideration, with all hiring managers who have vacancies, for up to 6 months before expiration of application requiring reapplication for additional consideration. Applicants must pass all portions of the testing process to proceed in the recruitment process and can retest after a 45 day waiting period. If hired, the position requires a fingerprint background check by the DOJ/FBI and TB assessment. Other Documents to Include in your Application:
- CPR/First Aid Certification (Copy of CPR & First Aid Certificate or letter stating you will obtain a CPR & First Aid certificate within the first six months of employment)
