Teaching Assistant Reports To: 4th Grade Lead Teacher and Principal Employment Status: Part-Time (Hourly) Starting pay: $20 per hour Length of Assignment: 10-Month School Year. Start Date: August 31st Position Summary The teaching assistant supports the lead teacher in providing a Christ-centered, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. This position collaborates with the classroom teacher to support instruction, student learning, classroom management, assessment practices, and individualized student needs. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, collaborative, and passionate about supporting students within the mission and values of Riviera Hall Lutheran School. Responsibilities Classroom Instruction & Academic Support Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lessons, classroom activities, and instructional routines. Provide individual and small-group academic support in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and other subject areas. Reinforce concepts taught by the classroom teacher and provide additional practice opportunities for students. Support differentiated instruction and learning accommodations as directed by the lead teacher and Learning Specialist. Assist students with assignments, projects, organization, study skills, and academic independence. Assessment & Grading Support Assist the lead teacher with evaluating student work, including assignments, classwork, projects, quizzes, and assessments. Provide feedback to students regarding completed work under the guidance of the classroom teacher. Enter grades into the school’s grading system as assigned and directed by the lead teacher. Maintain accurate records of completed assignments and student progress. Assist in preparing assessment materials and organizing student work samples. Communicate student progress observations with the lead teacher to support
