Job Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director-Student Services, the employee will provide Special Education Assessments and Services to students enrolled in the School. The School Occupational Therapist shall participate as a member of the educational team that assesses student performance in the areas of disability; develops assessment reports; identifies student abilities within education, developmental, or functional parameters; develops goals and objectives for consideration in the individualized education program (IEP) team meeting, and maintains appropriate documentation and reports. The School Occupational Therapist-Registered (OTR) will help students improve their ability to participate in desired daily School activities. The OTR will assess students to determine if they require assistance in learning and developmental activities. The OTR assesses students who have conditions that are mentally, physically, or developmentally disabling. The work location for this position is designated by the supervisor and the job description to include in-person and virtual settings as needed by the School. The selected candidate must be licensed and reside in California.
