Golden Feather Union Elementary School District is seeking a certificated teacher, intern-eligible or fully credentialed, to join our team at Spring Valley School in rural Butte County. Spring Valley School is a small TK–8 school with a supportive staff, close student relationships, and a practical focus on consistency, intervention, and student growth. We are currently seeking a Multiple Subject teacher to serve as the Math and Science teacher for our upper-grade students as part of a 5th–8th grade Core model. Under this model, one teacher provides instruction in English Language Arts and Social Studies, while the Math and Science teacher provides instruction in mathematics and science. This structure allows teachers to focus deeply on their content areas while still working closely as a team to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students. This position is an excellent opportunity for an intern, early-career teacher, or experienced teacher who enjoys middle grades, hands-on science, math instruction, small-group support, and building strong relationships with students. The district has established systems for student success, including consistent gradebook practices, assignment structures, classroom routines, and intervention supports. The successful candidate will be willing to learn and continue these systems while bringing their own energy, organization, and instructional strengths to the classroom. Spring Valley’s upper-grade program serves a small group of students in a rural school setting, allowing the teacher to know students well, monitor progress closely, and make a meaningful impact. Final assignment will be determined based on student needs, staffing configuration, and the strengths of the selected candidate.
