Job Summary

Under the direction of the site principal and in collaboration with the Special Education Director, the Education Specialist (Resource Specialist Program – RSP) provides specialized instruction and support to students with identified disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The Education Specialist delivers direct instructional services, develops and implements IEP goals, monitors student progress, and collaborates with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success. The role includes assessing student needs, adapting curriculum and instructional strategies, and recommending appropriate accommodations, modifications, and related services, with a primary focus on supporting students in accessing the general education curriculum and achieving academic and functional success in the least restrictive environment (LRE). The Education Specialist promotes inclusive practices and works to ensure that students are meaningfully integrated into general education settings to the maximum extent appropriate.
