Job Summary

Schedule: Mon-Thu 7:30 am - 4:00 pm and Fri: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm DEFINITION: Under the general supervision of the site administrator, supervise, monitor, and control the school campus and parking areas; and to do other related work as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: · Perform campus and parking lot control and monitor functions and activities; · Monitor and direct student activities in hallways, restrooms, and areas adjacent to the school buildings; · Control, monitor, and direct unauthorized persons on the campus and in parking lot areas; · Assist and direct campus visitors to authorized parking areas and appropriate offices; · Inspect, review, and monitor campus and parking areas to ensure against inappropriate behaviors, and campus litter and to ameliorate potential safety hazards; · Assist in the maintenance of appropriate student behaviors; · Enforce the school regulations pertaining to student activities; · Counsel and advise students and others regarding violation of rules and regulations; · Perform a variety of behavior management and behavior shaping functions using positive behavior interventions and supports; · May contact appropriate law enforcement agencies in consultation with the site administrator to maintain the security and control of campus and parking areas; · May prepare vandalism, property damage and theft reports; · Assist ill students or students experiencing difficulty by escorting them to the health office or appropriate administrative offices. OTHER REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: · Prepare required reports as necessary; · Participate in staff development activities and professional learning communities as appropriate; · Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: · Basic school safety rules; · Behavior modification strategies and techniques · Basic school safety rules, and safe campus supervision methods and procedures;

Requirements / Qualifications

Two years experience working with elementary/adolescent age students performing campus supervision. Equivalent to completion of a twelfth grade, with additional training or coursework in education, childcare, behavior modification techniques, or closely related fields
