Job Summary
The Freshman Volleyball Head Coach is responsible for developing student-athletes' volleyball skills, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, and fostering a positive and inclusive team culture. Planned and conducted practices, coached games, communicated effectively with players and families, and supported the overall goals of the volleyball program. Emphasized skill development, academic accountability, and character growth while preparing athletes for advancement within the high school volleyball program.
Requirements / Qualifications
Prior cross volleyball coaching experience at the high school level or higher is preferred, though qualified candidates with comparable experience are encouraged to apply.
Application Requirements: -Completed EdJoin Application -Letter of Introduction REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL COACHES (once selected): - NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching & the CA State Component - Concussion Certificate - Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate - Valid CPR Certificate - Valid First Aid Certificate - Heat Acclimatization Certificate - TB test - Guidelines for the Workplace & Youth Sports Protocol & Recommendations (link will be provided) - Mandated Reporter (Child Abuse Certificate) - Fingerprint clearance (once hired, the applicant will receive an appointment from Human Resources for the fingerprint process)

The salaries to be paid for extra duty assignments are based on a percentage of Column Il of the existing salary schedule. Internal candidates will be considered first with Certificated personnel being priority followed by classified and other personnel. Selected candidate must obtain a Coach Qualification and Clearance Card found here: https://forms.gle/JTa3uHg5fnpgZekPA Position is open until filled but will be closed by August 1, 2026.
