A Bachelor's Degree is required. Valid 30-Day Substitute Permit Certificate of Clearance (COC) 2 Letters of Recommendation dated within the last 2 years 3 Professional References Valid CPR Certification You will be required to complete a fingerprint background check, TB clearance and physical examination, at your expense.

A Resident Substitute Teacher is an individual hired with the understanding that his/her employment with Barstow Unified School District is on a substitute basis. They will be assigned by the district to various school sites at the district’s discretion and will work 185 days, to support Professional Development Incentives (PD) and Long-Term Vacancies.
