Job Summary

The Instructional Coach builds teacher capacity and deepens understanding of effective instructional practices aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), data-driven instruction, and ABLE’s instructional model. Committed to continuous improvement and lifelong learning, the Instructional Coach leads by example and consistently goes above and beyond to support student success. Working collaboratively as part of the instructional leadership team, the Instructional Coach fosters a culture of reflection, professional growth, and shared accountability. Through guidance, structure, and a strengths-based approach, the coach promotes collaboration while helping teachers address common instructional challenges. To ensure high-quality instruction across classrooms, the Instructional Coach partners with teachers through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, observation, and constructive feedback. This position reports to the Chief Academic Officer and works closely with the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Academic Council to support the school's instructional vision and academic goals.

Requirements / Qualifications

Valid California teaching credential, valid California driver's license, and verifiable classroom teaching experience at the highly effective or skillful performance level are required. Master's degree is preferred.
