About Richmond College Prep Schools: We are a high-performing charter school in Richmond. We started with a preschool in 2004, and we now serve preschool students and students in TK through 8th grade. We’re currently looking for teachers who love middle school-age students and who are eager to help our school leaders create an enriching, rigorous, and culturally responsive program for our middle school students. Each teacher is provided with a daily one hour of prep time, a full-time instructional aide to support the classroom. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Learn and implement the school's adopted curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional activities in all content areas aligned with California Common Core State Standards. Assess student learning regularly; analyze assessment results and use data to refine and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs. Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students receiving Special Education services and participate in Student Success Team (SST) meetings for students requiring additional academic or behavioral support. Evaluate students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth and maintain accurate and appropriate records. Create and maintain a positive, effective learning environment while holding all students accountable to the school's high academic and behavioral expectations. Communicate regularly with students and families regarding student progress and conduct parent-teacher conferences as needed. Collaborate with grade-level partners, colleagues, and school administration to improve instructional practices and develop data-driven plans that support student achievement. Participate in school-sponsored professional development and establish professional growth goals throughout the school year.

Understanding of school policies and the Board's goals and objectives. Ability to build positive and productive relationships with students. Ability to maintain fair, firm, and consistent classroom management and discipline. Effective oral and written communication skills with parents, students, and professional staff. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to work effectively within established schedules and deadlines. Ability to maintain, interpret, and safeguard confidential records and information. Ability to read, interpret, and follow regulations, policies, and procedures. Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of the school community.
