Learn Academy is looking for a full-time SPED Teacher with Extensive Need Support Credential for our classroom located in Fresno, CA.
Requirements / Qualifications
Position Requirements...Credentialed in Extensive Support Need (Moderate to Severe) • Must hold valid California State certification in Special Education Extensive Support Need • Experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Developmental Disabilities required.. • Credentialing in ABA or Autism Spectrum Disorders given greater consideration. • Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). • Certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) a plus. • Knowledge of research based instructional practices with students with autism. • Experience with therapeutic de-escalation techniques. • Experience working directly with students with autism and moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. • Spanish speaking a plus. Not required.
Active and valid Education Specialist California Teaching Credential- Extensive Support Need At least 3 years teaching experience with elementary, middle, and/or high school students Experience working with emotional and/or behaviorally challenged students Spanish speaking a plus. Not required.
