Serves as a site-based substitute teacher, providing instructional continuity by covering classrooms and maintaining learning environments when regularly assigned teachers are absent. Perform other duties as assigned which may include any of the following: Provide small group interventions (academic support in reading, math, and targeted skill-building) as the top priority Assist with recess supervision to ensure student safety and positive behavior Support lunch supervision (cafeteria and playground monitoring) Assist during PE periods with supervision, transitions, and equipment setup Provide push-in classroom support for teachers (circulating, assisting students, reinforcing lessons) Cover short-term supervision needs (e.g., teacher restroom breaks, brief meetings) Help with student arrival and dismissal duties (drop-off/pick-up areas, bus lines) Assist with behavior support and monitoring, including check-ins with targeted students Support intervention/enrichment blocks or RTI time Help prepare and organize instructional materials (copies, sorting, assembling packets) Assist with clerical tasks in the front office or classrooms (filing, data entry, attendance support) Support testing coordination (proctoring, setup, and monitoring as needed) Help maintain classroom and common area organization Support English learner or special education services under teacher direction Monitor and support students during transitions between classes or activities Assist with school-wide activities or events
