Culinary Arts .4 FTE at Credo High School
Job Summary
Job Summary
Credo is launching a new Culinary Arts program for 9th-grade students, taught in quarter rotations as part of our practical arts sequence. This course is the starting point of a larger Farm to Table vision for the school. In future years, the program will draw directly on produce grown at Headwaters Farm at SOMO Village, the community where Credo is located, connecting what students cook to food grown just steps from the classroom. We have a foundational curriculum in place, but there is plenty of room to shape and build. We are looking for a teacher who brings real kitchen experience, a clear sense of what ninth graders need to learn about food and cooking, and the initiative to develop this course further and grow it toward that farm-to-table future. This is a founding role. You will set up the kitchen classroom, build out the curriculum, establish safety and kitchen management routines, and help shape what this course becomes for years of Credo students after you. We're looking for someone who finds that kind of ground-floor work energizing rather than daunting.
