EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Open and closes building (Gym, Multipurpose room) Turn necessary lights on at the start and off at the end of authorized activities Opens and checks lavatories. Sets up special equipment, including tables and benches, specified on “Use of Building” permit. Maintains watch on building during the entire activity. Guards against vandalism inside and outside of building Picks or sweeps up any debris left by using group in assigned facility Including lavatories Other duties appropriate or assigned Maintain necessary records. Work evening and weekends DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: Means of maintaining building security Means of preventing and /or reporting vandalism to building or grounds Means of properly operating heat, light and power Ability to: Maintain mature relationships with groups using the building Work cooperatively with others-employees as well as members of groups using the facilities. Understand and follow a schedule and verbal and written instructions Use courtesy, discretion and common sense in enforcement of rules and regulation and in supplying or refusing necessary equipment not specific on permit.
