Under the supervision of the Site Administrator, the Education Specialist provides an educational program for pupils in grades TK-8, and assists in other school programs as assigned. The Education Specialist creates a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. They establish effective rapport with pupils to motivate them to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further participation in the total school program, in accordance with each pupil's ability and to meet the California Common Core State Standards. The Education Specialist establishes positive relationships with parents and other staff members, and works collaboratively with them to address the diverse needs of students. The Education Specialist will offer a variety of service options, including but not limited to, pull-out, push-in, and co-teaching models. A strong background in addressing student behavior is preferred, and bilingual proficiency is highly desirable. Caseload will sit around 20 students. Grades: 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 Push-in and pull out services, SAI focused Strong behavioral background Bilingual preferred The ideal candidate is a quick-thinking and highly organized professional who can easily build rapport with students, consistently ensuring all critical administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
