Library Technician/Elementary School-to fill a vacancy and create an eligibility list at Snowline Joint Unified
Requirements / Qualifications
MATERIALS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; experience or related training in the Library Sciences preferred; any combination of clerical work that will provide the required knowledge and abilities. KNOWLEDGE OF: Basic library methods, practices, terminology, and techniques used in processing, cataloging and circulation of library materials; basic principles of supervision and training; use of elements of good English, spelling, and arithmetic; knowledge of modern office methods and equipment. ABILITY TO: Perform para-professional library duties accurately and rapidly; perform clerical and typing duties; analyze situations and make decisions in procedural matters, as required, without immediate supervision; train and supervise library student aides; understand and carry out oral and written directives; and establish and maintain a cooperative and helpful relationship with those involved in the use of the library. Current vacancy is located at Pinon Hills Elementary School. SKILLS: Typing; 35 wpm (adjusted for errors). Please note, Snowline JUSD no longer offers the typing test. You are required to attach a typing certificate with your application. Passing score on written test: applicants with a complete application who have provided a typing test with 35 net wpm or more will be invited to attend the written test once the job posting has closed. Application must include a current, updated resume, 2 letters of recommendation (physically signed AND dated within the last 36 months), and a letter of intent. Letters of recommendation written by family members will not be accepted.
