Job Summary
We are seeking a Device Support Specialist to support and manage our school’s Apple device ecosystem, including iPads and Mac devices used by students, faculty, and staff. This role focuses on Apple device deployment, Mobile Device Management (MDM), inventory tracking, and technical support to ensure reliable technology for teaching and learning. The Device Support Specialist will report to the IT Director to support device management, troubleshoot issues, and maintain an organized and secure technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Apple ecosystem experience, MDM skills, and strong customer service abilities who enjoys supporting education technology. Key Responsibilities: • Manage inventory and asset tracking for student and staff iPads, Mac Devices, and accessories. • Configure, deploy, collect, and maintain Apple devices throughout the school year. • Support the school’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform (experience with Workspace ONE preferred). • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on iPads and Apple devices. • Provide loaner devices and escalate complex issues to the Director of Applied Technology when necessary. • Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support for students, faculty, and staff. • Perform device updates, maintenance, and lifecycle management. • Maintain accurate asset records in the inventory system. • Create simple instructional materials or guides to help users effectively use their devices.
Requirements / Qualifications
Requirements/Education and Qualifications: • B.A. in related field is preferred. • 1–2 years of experience supporting Apple devices (macOS and iOS). • Administrator experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems preferred. • Knowledge of device deployment, asset tracking, and technical troubleshooting. • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to lift equipment up to 30 lbs.
