CAFETERIA WORKER

Class Definition:  Classified

Under the direction of the Food Service Manager and Cafeteria Supervisor prepares and serves nourishing and attractive meals.

Supervises:  None

Qualification:

• At least one year experience in quantity food preparation and service.  National and State School Lunch program experience desirable.
• Completion of the 12th grade or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and serving, follow oral and written procedures; work effectively with others.
• Ability to work effectively in food preparation and serving, follow oral and written procedures, work effectively with others.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve foods
• Clean and sanitation of kitchen, serving area and equipment
• Other related duties as assigned

Terms of Employment:

• 10 months per year
• Range 7 of the Classified Salary
