Big Springs Union Elementary School District is seeking a full-time Intervention Teacher / Instructional Support Coordinator to provide targeted academic intervention for students in grades TK-8, with emphasis on reading, English Language Arts, writing, mathematics, and foundational academic skills. The position will use assessment data, classroom performance, teacher referrals, and progress-monitoring tools to identify student needs, provide small-group and individual intervention, and support Tier 2 and Tier 3 academic intervention. This position also coordinates, schedules, trains, and directs the daily work of classroom aides, campus aides, and assigned paraprofessional staff to ensure student support is organized, active, consistent, and aligned with District academic, behavioral, and supervision goals. Formal discipline and final evaluations remain with the Superintendent/Principal unless otherwise designated. This certificated position will use CAASPP, local assessments, IXL, classroom data, teacher referrals, and progress-monitoring tools to identify student needs, provide small-group and individual intervention, support Tier 2 and Tier 3 academic intervention, and help monitor student progress over time. The position will also coordinate, schedule, train, and direct the daily work of classroom aides, campus aides, and assigned paraprofessional staff to ensure student support is consistent, active, and aligned with District academic, behavioral, and supervision goals. Formal discipline and final evaluations remain with the Superintendent/Principal unless otherwise designated. Qualified applicants must hold a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in the assigned grade span and must have English Learner authorization, CLAD, BCLAD, or equivalent authorization. Experience with academic intervention, MTSS/RtI, assessment data, paraprofessional coordination, and small rural school settings is preferred.
