Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned District Business Support Manager or Director, perform a variety of complex specialized duties related to the analysis of school district, including direct service, charter, and County Office human resource and payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with department processes and state/federal laws and regulations. Travel to and provide assistance in short term capacities with the performance of payroll functions as needed for school districts supported by SCOE. Train and advise human resource and payroll personnel on the County Office's financial system, California Education code, and state and federal government regulations.

Requirements / Qualifications

Internal Ed-Join Application. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or California High School Equivalent Certificate. A minimum of three years’ experience in accounting, audits or financial record-keeping and payroll activities. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis clearance & Drug Screen clearance. Must be at least 18 years of age.
