Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Principal of the Arts, Elective CTE Teachers plan, develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive educational program for students in the skills of their specified discipline, create a supportive and flexible learning environment to nurture each student’s personal growth, and collaborate with colleagues to reflect on and refine instructional practice. This position is responsible for teaching five (5) sections of Tae Kwon Do as part of the school's elective program. Courses may include Tae Kwon Do Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4, with instruction differentiated to meet students' varying skill levels and support progressive advancement in martial arts techniques, discipline, physical fitness, and character development. Minimum Qualifications: • Current Black Belt (or higher) in Tae Kwon Do from a recognized governing organization. • Prior experience teaching or instructing Tae Kwon Do in a structured instructional setting. • Demonstrated ability to safely instruct students of varying ages and skill levels. • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. • Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment while upholding the school's educational mission and values.
