A Transfer employee may apply for an opportunity in which they are currently probationary or regular. SUMMARY Under the direction of the Director of Health Services, the School Medical Assistant is assigned to the health office at an elementary or middle school. The School Medical Assistant performs first aid and routine health office duties; document and maintain student health information required by federal, state, and local agencies, provide appropriate care and/or referrals under the direction of the credentialed school nurse for ill, injured, and/or medically fragile students; perform a variety of routine clerical support functions at the school site, including typing, data entry, filing, and related duties as assigned.
