Pajaro Valley Unified School District (PVUSD) serves over 15,000 students across 33 schools in the vibrant communities of Watsonville, Aptos, and Freedom in Santa Cruz County, and the Pajaro and Las Lomas communities in North Monterey County. We are currently staffing our Community Schools Leadership Coordinator and are looking for a dedicated leader with experience to work under the direct supervision of the Superintendent and/or member of the communications staff and in collaboration with applicable district departments, the Coordinator will administer, coordinate, implement, disseminate information and monitor key elements of the District's community schools (CS) initiative, including the CCSPP grant. Specifically, this role will focus on onboarding, supporting, and coordinating professional development for the CS Specialists; work closely with the district’s public information/communications staff; engage in collaborative planning across connected district teams (e.g. Communications, MTSS, family engagement, Equity, Federal and State Programs, Business Services, and Teaching & Learning); and facilitating strong practices in partnership development. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Possess significant experience with principals and practices of public information programs and public media including regulations and guidelines related to the distribution of news and information. Any combination equivalent to: 5 years of experience training and/or education to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Typically, this would be gained through a Bachelor’s degree in English, Community Studies, Communications, and/or Public Administration. Experience in writing, designing, developing and implementing proactive communication plans. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid CA Driver’s License

Successful candidates who pass all parts of the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list in order of their relative merit as determined by these competitive examinations.
