Job Summary

Job Summary

Students will learn to express ideas and tell stories by creating their own films using every step of the film production process; pre-production, production and post-production. Pre-production includes scriptwriting and storyboarding. During step two of production, students will learn to use a camera and set up shots like a pro and get some acting tips. With post-production, students learn to edit film on the latest industry-level software. The course is project-based and includes film critiquing, working in teams, and guest speakers from the film industry.. NATURE AND SCOPE Plan, prepare, implement, monitor, and evaluate a quality competency-based Career Technical Education Technology (CTE) Program leading to the development of student skills sufficient to qualify for entry-level employment and/or post-secondary education using effective instruction with all students.

Requirements / Qualifications

CTE Business and Math Teacher~ Diamond Technology Institute Applicants must possess or be eligible for a California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential in the Film and Video sector or equivalent. Must have at least 3 years of industry experience in business, one year of which must be within the last 3 years to satisfy the eligibility requirement. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for project-based learning, student engagement, and preparing students for college, career, and real-world success.
