Job Summary
To plan, organize, and provide instruction and special education support to address the educational and social needs of students with specific learning disabilities, mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, and emotional and behavioral disorders; conduct educational assessments related to student’s access to the academic core curriculum and progress towards meeting individualized goals.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possess a valid preliminary or clear California Education Specialist Credential with Mild to Moderate Support Needs (MMSN) or Mild/Moderate Disabilities (M/M) Authorization or equivalent. Autism Spectrum Disorders Added Authorization required for holders of a M/M or older credential; or enrollment in a program. CLAD or BCLAD Authorization or equivalent. If not fully credentialed, a candidate must be willing to enroll in a credential program and have at least 18 semester units in the subject area to qualify for a short term staff permit; or must be enrolled in a credential program and be eligible for an internship credential.
