About the Employer

Thank you for your interest in Pacheco Union School District. Located in the semi-rural region of Shasta County, between the cities of Redding and Anderson, our district consists of two schools: Prairie (TK-3) and Pacheco (4th-8th). Prairie serves about 330 students, and Pacheco serves approximately 375 students in grades 4-8. We are deeply committed to working in partnership with our parents and community, with the most active parent club in Shasta County, the Pacheco Prairie Parent Teacher Group (PPPTG). This group offers students a wide range of learning opportunities, from field trips to our all-district Winter Workshop. At Pacheco Union School District, we are proud of our reputation for academic excellence, delivered with a gracious and caring touch. We believe in our mission: “Preparing students to be confident and empowered leaders for tomorrow’s world.” Our district is fortunate to have an excellent staff who are dedicated, caring, and committed to providing a balanced, rigorous education. Prairie offers strong reading and math programs with the goal of ensuring all students meet or exceed grade-level expectations. Pacheco builds on this foundation, fostering in-depth knowledge and problem-solving skills through critical thinking in a variety of subjects. Technology, state standards, and engaging teaching strategies are integrated throughout our programs to help prepare students for the global economy.
