Located in the semi-rural region of Shasta County, between the cities of Redding and Anderson, our district consists of two schools: Prairie (TK-3) and Pacheco (4th-8th). Prairie serves about 330 students, and Pacheco serves approximately 375 students in grades 4-8. Job Summary

The Assistant Principal supports the Superintendent and Site Principals in leading a positive, safe, and academically focused learning environment that meets the needs of every student, staff member, and family in the Pacheco Union Elementary School District. This position splits time across the District's two sites — Prairie School (preschool–grade 3) and Pacheco School (grades 4–8), located approximately five miles apart — partnering with the Principal at each school. The Assistant Principal serves as both an instructional leader and a champion of school culture: providing instructional coaching, leading the District's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, delivering behavior support for teachers and students, supporting curriculum adoption and implementation, overseeing school safety, and strengthening family and community engagement. The Assistant Principal acts in the capacity of the Principal during a Principal's absence from either site.
