Comments and Other Information
Minimum Requirements:
• Appropriate Administrative Credential
• Four (4) years of experience as a special education teacher, program specialist, school psychologist, special education or pupil services administrator
• One (1) year of administrative experience is highly recommended, including direct supervision of programs and staff
• Must have advanced training and related experience in the education of individuals with exceptional needs
• Computer Proficient/Experience with Electronic Formatted IEP (i.e. SEIS)
Desirable Qualifications
• Possession of Special Education Teaching, Clinical Rehabilitative Services and/or Pupil Personnel Services: School Psychologist Credential
• Demonstrated Leadership Ability
• Added Autism Authorization Certificate
• Master’s Degree
• Bilingual Ability (Spanish/English)
Medical insurance plans are available on the Azusa Unified School District website in the staff section. Employees working a 90+% assignment are required to take at least single coverage health insurance with the Azusa Unified School District or provide proof of coverage through another group plan.
