Our ideal candidate will possess a strong early development knowledge base and passion for teaching early learners, and be able to support our play based program to promote students' active inquiry, discovery, and learning; adapt materials and methods to meet students' varying developmental stages, interests, and learning profiles; and partner with colleagues and parents to promote each student's individual growth. Responsibilities: *Hours 8:00am-3:45pm (M-TH), 8:00am-1:35pm (F) *Provide active and connected supervision and academic assistance to early childhood classes; *Assist the lead teacher in using a variety of assessment practices to monitor, guide, and support student learning and to adjust teaching to meet student needs; *Foster a classroom community founded on trust, respect, consideration for self and others, inclusiveness, curiosity, growth mindsets, and joy; *Promote in students self-awareness, self-regulation, self-advocacy, moral sensitivity, integrity, and mutual responsibility; *Work closely with the Early Childhood Director Associate Director and Early Childhood faculty team to cultivate an invigorating, safe, and respectful atmosphere across all age levels; *Provide a positive environment that encourages students to actively participate in their own learning; Requirements / Qualifications Schedule: Monday to Friday Education: Early Development Coursework (Preferred) Experience: -Teaching in play based environment: 1 year (Preferred Language: English (Required) Work Location: In person
