Requirements / Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent. * Completion of at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education or an Associate's degree in a related field, such as Psychology, Child Development, or a closely related discipline. * At least two (2) years of successful experience working with individuals with disabilities in the specialized field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS * Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification; **or** * Proof of completion of the 40-hour RBT training and successful completion of the RBT Competency Assessment, with eligibility to obtain RBT certification; **or** * Willingness to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within one (1) year of employment. * Must annually pass the RBT Competency Assessment, as required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), under the supervision of the District's Autism and Behavior Program Specialists. * Valid First Aid and CPR certifications issued by an authorized agency and the ability to maintain current certifications. * Must be able to obtain certification through the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. * Valid California driver's license. * Some positions may require the ability to speak, read, and write in a designated second language. * Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish are desirable.
